Homeowner in Rolling Meadows and junior high Social Studies teacher. Serving as the Kitchen Coordinator for the St. Colette PADS team, she is passionate about addressing food and housing insecurities in Palatine Township.
Megan Gawlik is a homeowner in Rolling Meadows. She is running for Palatine Township Trustee, because the Board needs new leadership that is willing to work together, reach out to different communities within the township, and seek to meet their needs.
Megan is a middle school teacher who graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Secondary Education and a minor in Political Science. At DePaul, she served in a variety of leadership roles for new student orientation and Residence Hall Council. This summer she received a Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate from the University of South Florida.
Megan has experience in web design, Search Engine Optimization, graphic design, and social media marketing. She will leverage these experiences to upgrade the township’s marketing and communication, which is vital to properly inform all residents of the township’s services.
Megan and her husband have served as the Kitchen Coordinators of the St. Colette Church PADS site for 3 years. As a Rolling Meadows resident, she has advocated on several issues including increasing the Emergency Family Assistance Fund and backyard chickens. She also served on the city’s Census Committee.
